There are plenty of free tools and resources on the internet that you can use to make eye-catching presentations.  Here are a few of our favorites.

Pixlr.com

 

This website provides you with much of the same image-editing ability as Photoshop - but for free!  Great for cropping images, removing backgrounds, adding artistic filters, and even mocking up images from scratch. (Click the name or image to go to the site.)

 

Presentation Skills Tutorial

 

This tutorial created by the University of Leeds walks you through each step of creating a presentation.  Great for start-to-finish support.  (Click the name or image to go to the tutorial.)

Prezi.com

 

Prezi is a new way to make presentations that many people are using instead of PowerPoint.  You can register and make prezis for free right on the website.  See our Prezi tutorial for a sample of what Prezi can do.

Learn Higher

 

Learn Higher is a joint initiative created through collaboration with various learning developers to support students with all aspects of academic skills.  Their presentations section is loaded with advice and materials.
